GRENVILLE MANLY KENYON 1931 - 2003 Peacefully, on Sunday, May 18, 2003, Grenville Kenyon passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family at his side. Grenville was predeceased by his mother, Mary in 1980; his father Truman in 1992; sister Norma in 1993; and son-in-law Rene Laveau in 2003. Grenville is survived by his best friend and partner of 30 years, Elena Ruivivar; his children, Robert (Robin), Janet, Ron (Linda), and Harold (Susan) grandchildren, Michael, Krista, Jordan, Aaron, Pam, Shawn, Elizabeth, Matthew, and Elenas immediate family, Elizabeth and Cresencio Vasques, Josephine and Gill Ubaldo, Ruby Ruivivar, Josie and Rudy Concepcion, Angel and Marilou Jarme, and her numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Grenville was born, raised and he farmed at Elm Creek until his move to Winnipeg in the early 1970s. We will remember Grenville for his caring nature, his incredible intellect, his wonderful sense of humour, long discussions in the car, and his singing. He challenged each of us to think critically for ourselves and to enjoy life to its fullest. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 24 at Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division. A special thank you is extended to all of the health care staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the Riverview Health Centre.
